So I tried watching the first ep of the Persona TS anime just to see what it was like.
It wasn't as bad as everyone makes it out to be, but it wasn't anything special.  Just your average dull sci-fi/horror/[insert genre] anime with characters with non-existent personalities.

The feel is completely different from P3. 
What the hell was with those animal-headed people in the ending song?

I don't see why they didn't just make the normal P3 story into an anime.  It would have done a lot better and they wouldn't have had to make new characters designs/plot/[crappy etc.]  I guess hiring all of the PS2 game's seiyuu would cost too much yen? lol

BTW, was that little girl at the beginning Mitsuru? o_o  And is Jun the Jun that is apparently in P2? (god, he sounds and looks like a girl...)

Rather than a slow story it almost seems like it doesn't have one at all. I lost interest after around six episodes of nothing happening except random people dying.
