Also some people I know prefer certain characters in one game or the other even though she appears in both.  Not worth adding to the poll since no one even looks in here but I'd like a discussion thereof.

Hm, I guess I could create another thread for UL if you want.  But I personally didn't notice anything significantly different about the characters in UL in contrast to the EX universe.  The only difference is that EX focuses on the characters more, whereas UL... doesn't really.
The only valid difference (IMO) is that Sumika isn't seen much in UL and Kasumi is a new character.  So I guess some people (such as me) could say their "favorite character" is still Sumika, but choose Kasumi since UL doesn't really give much Sumika exposure. (excluding flashbacks and the like)

I dunno about you, but I for one didn't wanted to know that Takahashi won't appear in UL. Especially that moogy already spoiled me what's his destiny is in alternative.

As like Ixrec, I really don't see how it is a spoiler since his absence isn't significant to UL's plot. (like it is with a certain other character... *coughcough*)  But I changed the title of this thread to reflect that there may be "minor spoilers" in this thread.

Also even the "plot-relevant" character KnD mentions I wouldn't consider a spoiler. It's pretty obvious who is and isn't in MLU really early in. That and I wouldn't really call anything in MLU a spoiler to begin with since nothing in the game leads into anything else in it, only to stuff in Alternative.

If he is joking, then I really don't see the humor.  His tone should be less serious since this is the internet.  Stuff like that don't come across well over text unless obvious over-exaggeration is used.
